Answers

1) How do I make an appointment with my counselor?

Answer: On the front desk of the Guidance Department there are yellow appointment slips that require you to fill in information, including the best time for an appointment (electives only, please) and any message you would like to include for your counselor. After you fill this form out, give it to Mrs. Morr (guidance secretary) and she will forward the slip to your counselor. Your counselor will fill in the time of your appointment and leave the slip on the bulletin board behind the front door of guidance. Make sure you remember to pickup your appointment slip and have your teacher sign it before you meet for your appointment.

2) What should I do if I am absent from school for more than a day or two?

Answer: Please have your parent or guardian contact your school counselor as soon as they know you will be absent for an extended period of time. They will collect the homework assignments and leave it to be picked up from the Guidance Office on the following day.

3) I would like to make a change in my schedule, what should I do?

Answer: In addition to making an appointment with your counselor we encourage you to communicate with your teacher before considering a change.

4) I am interested in finding out more about college, what should I do?
