Members of Carle Place High School’s chapter of the National English Honor Society got the chance to spread their love of writing with the second graders of Cherry Lane Elementary School recently. Students were split up into stations to create unique characters, settings, plots, etc. and then put their ideas together into separate stories. The high school students and second graders had a wonderful time collaborating and reinforcing the skills the latter had learned about during the school year. Once finished, the books were bound, and students were given prizes for creativity.
