Second grade students at Cherry Lane recently completed their project-based learning unit, Connected Cooking. Throughout the unit, students learned about states of matter, density and buoyancy. They also learned how heating and cooling create physical and chemical changes in the different states of matter.
As a culminating activity, students learned how to mix wet and dry ingredients, as well as how source their own zucchini from the Cherry Lane Community Garden. Together, they followed a recipe to create delicious zucchini bread!
