Ceruti Named Certified Master Athletic Administrator

The district is proud to announce that Chris Ceruti, the director of athletics, physical education, health and family & consumer sciences, was recognized by the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association as a Certified Master Athletic Administrator.

This distinction recognizes individuals who demonstrate exemplary knowledge, contributions and on-going professional development in the field of interscholastic athletic administration. Ceruti is one of an elite group of interscholastic athletic administrators nationwide to attain this level of professionalism.

The voluntary certification process included a thorough evaluation of the candidate's educational background, experience, NIAAA Leadership Courses and professional contributions. It is culminated with a practical written or oral presentation project.

The Shoreham resident has been working for Carle Place Schools for 28 years and is a member of several state, county and district committees. District committees include the Carle Place Hall of Fame Committee, Carle Place Athletic Booster Club, and the Carle Place Teacher’s Union. She earned her Bachelor of Science in physical education from Long Island University’s Brooklyn Campus and then went on to earn her Master of Liberal Studies in Health Education from Stony Brook University.

In addition to her education, Ceruti also earned her Administrative Certification from College of Saint Rose. She also received several prestigious awards, including Outstanding Service and Dedication as an Athletic Administrator Award from the NYSAAA, Nassau County Zone Physical Education Director Award from the NYSAHRERD and the Softball Officials Association Merit Award.

The district applauds her accomplishment and is proud of the dedication she devotes to her position.
