Long Island Champions
Congratulations to the Girls Softball team who earned the title of Class C Nassau County and Long Island Champions. They will compete Saturday, June 4 in the Sub-Regional Championship @ 12:30 pm against SS Seward. The game will be played at Middletown High School, 30 Gardner Ext Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. Come cheer our frogs on!

Nassau County Champions - Boys Baseball
Congratulations to the boys baseball team who were 2022 Nassau County Class C Champions this week. Their next game is the Long Island Championship on 6/2/22 at 4:30PM at St. Joseph College. We wish them the best of luck!

Lacrosse Athlete Scores 100
The district’s Athletic Department would like to spotlight the accomplishment of high school student athlete Abby Lyons on scoring her 100th goal as a member of the girls varsity lacrosse team. Abby scored her 100th career goal in the Nassau County Championship semifinal game against Oyster Bay. The district applauds Abby on this amazing achievement.

Student Athletes Commit to College Careers
Carle Place is proud to announce that seven high school senior athletes signed their national letters of intent to continue their athletic and academic careers next fall at the collegiate level.
Jordy Cavallero will play men’s tennis at Long Island University; Ben Nosovitch will play baseball at Queens College; Christian Pellegrino will play baseball at Stevenson University; Justina Cavallaro will play field hockey at Adelphi University; Abigail Lyons will play girls lacrosse at Notre Dame University; Kylie McGovern will play girls lacrosse at Eastern Michigan University; and Amanda Leary will play girls basketball at Springfield College.
The district congratulates these students and wishes them a successful journey throughout their college careers.

Girls' Basketball All-State Honors
Two high school student athletes were awarded All-State honors in girls
basketball. Renee Burden achieved All-State Honorable Mention and Amanda
Leary achieved All-State 1st Team. In addition, Amanda Leary also
achieved All-Long Island by Newsday for girls basketball. The district
congratulates both student athletes on their wonderful achievements.

Sibling Athletes Give Top Performances
High school senior Ben Nosovitch pitched a no-hitter against East Rockaway, and his sister Marissa Nosovitch pitched 16 of 21 against Great Neck South. Both Carle Place teams were victorious.

Girls Basketball Honored by County Executive
Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman recognized the girls' varsity basketball team for their successful season, finishing as Class C Long Island Champions. Go Frogs!

Top 100 Girls Lacrosse Player
High school senior Abigail (Abby) Lyons has been recognized by Newsday as a Top 100 Girls Lacrosse player in Long Island for the 2022 season.

Students Are Outstanding in Physical Education
The district is proud to announce that high school seniors James McKeough and Amanda Leary were recipients of the Outstanding Physical Education Awards from the Nassau Zone of The New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.
Each year the association’s Nassau Zone Chapter honors two seniors from local high schools who exemplify outstanding achievement in physical education. These New York State standards include living a physically active lifestyle, exhibiting a high level of fitness during testing and exceptional achievement within physical education class. These two students have also shown tremendous leadership, sportsmanship, character and lifelong learning throughout their careers at Carle Place.

Girls Basketball Senior Night
The athletic department recently hosted senior night for the girls varsity basketball team. The district is proud of all the hard work and dedication these student athletes have contributed to the girls basketball program.


Student Athlete Scores 1,000 Points
High School senior Amanda Leary joined an elite group of Carle Place girl basketball players as she scored her 1,000 point against Cold Spring Harbor.
Amanda has a few more games as a Frog. She will continue her journey as a student athlete playing for the girls basketball team at Springfield College in the fall.
The district congratulates Amanda on an amazing accomplishment.

Gymnastics Senior Night
The Carle Place girls gymnastics team held their senior night earlier this week. The district is proud of all the hard work and dedication they’ve contributed to the gymnastics program.

Student-Athletes Receive All-State Honors
Carle Place School District’s athletic department would like to congratulate four student-athletes who received All-State honors in their respective sports during the fall season.
The students are as follows:
Alexandra Feit (All-State 2nd Team) – Girls Soccer
Abigail Han (All-State) – Girls Swimming
Amanda Leary (All-State 1st Team) – Girls Soccer
Marisa Terrone (All-State) – Girls Field Hockey

Girls Soccer Team - 2021 Nassau County Class "C" Champions, 2021 Long Island Class "C" Champions, 2021 Regional Class "C" Champions, and 2021 NYS Finalist.

CPLV Swimmer - Abigail Han - 2021 All-County and NYSPHSAA - All-State Honors.

Boys and Girls Soccer Claim Titles, Success on the Pitch
The athletic department congratulates members of its soccer programs, as both the varsity boys and varsity girls soccer teams clinched the 2021 Nassau County Class C Championship titles. The girls soccer team also went on to win the Long Island Class C Championship.
The boys soccer team achieved their county title after defeating Locust Valley 2-1 on Oct. 30 and the girls soccer team claimed their county title after defeating Cold Spring Harbor 5-1 on Oct. 18. From there, the girls soccer team conquered the Long Island Class C Championship, where they defeated Port Jefferson 7-1 on Oct. 30. This is the first Long Island Championship win for the Lady Frogs in school history.
The girls soccer team went on to claim another victory in the NYSPHSAA Class C regionals, defeating S.S. Seward Institute 7-2 on Nov. 6. They will advance in the tournament to face Byron Bergen in the state semifinals on Nov. 13 at Homer Senior High School in Homer, New York.
The district is proud of both teams on their season accomplishments and wish the girls soccer team best of luck in the semifinal match this weekend.

Field Hockey Team Clinch County Title
The district athletic department is proud to announce that the high school girls varsity field hockey team are the reigning 2021 Nassau County Class C Champions. The Lady Frogs claimed the title after defeating Cold Spring Harbor 2-1 on Nov. 2. The district applauds the team on this amazing accomplishment.
